Installing Hot Aisle Containment

Remove (3) Phillips screws from the hot aisle baffle located horizontally on the top of the rack and remove the (3) screws retaining it.

Replace (2) ground screws into the same holes they were removed from.

This hardware will be used later to install the ground wire once the rack is located in the data hall.

Remove and retain (2) M10 screws located at the back of the rack.

Secure the baffle vertically on the rear of the rack using the (2) M10 screws from the previous step.

Determine which end of the side panel has a bent flange.

Ensure that the bent flange is at the bottom and that the top of the panel has a flat edge.

The flange should point towards the rack that will receive the panel.

Place the bent flange of the side panel onto the base of the rack and rotate the panel into position until all (4) screw wholes in the panel are aligned to the holes in the rack.

The weight of the side panel will rest on the rack.

Install (2) M6 screws that come with the side panel into the top two locations.

Install (2) M6 screws that come with the side panel into the bottom two locations.
