Introduction

Overview

Motherboard Configurations

  • TPM's will be located on either the right or left sides of the Leopard V1 / V2 Motherboards.
  • Both configurations will utilize the same replacement process.
    • Perform a warm shut down on the server. Run:

    • ssh -l root <hostname> shutdown -h now

  1. Disconnect the 10G cable NIC. Disconnect the 10G cable NIC.

  2. Pull the green retention plunger upwards and twist 90 degrees to lock in the upright position. Using the handle located at the left side of the server sled, pull the sled outwards. Using the handle located at the left side of the server sled, pull the sled outwards.

    • Using the handle located at the left side of the server sled, pull the sled outwards.

  3. Remove the server sled and place it onto a crash cart or work bench for service.

  4. Disconnect the following cables by pressing down on the metal retention tabs pulling away from the HDD: SATA cable Power cable

  5. Pull the two PCI Riser Cage locking handles towards the front of the server, as shown. Pull the two PCI Riser Cage locking handles towards the front of the server, as shown.

  6. Lift the PCI Riser Cage from the server chassis. Lift the PCI Riser Cage from the server chassis.

  7. Locate the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). To remove, grip the module on each side, then pull upwards as shown. Wiwynn Motherboard Configuration:

    • See image for TPM location. Utilize existing TPM replacement process for both Quanta and Wiwynn spec.

  10. Align (4) PCI Riser Cage slots with the chassis keys. Lower the PCI Riser Cage onto the server chassis and press firmly to seat. Lower the PCI Riser Cage onto the server chassis and press firmly to seat.

  11. Lock the PCI Riser Cage by pushing the two handles towards the rear of the server until they click into place. Lock the PCI Riser Cage by pushing the two handles towards the rear of the server until they click into place.

  12. Connect the SATA and Power cables as shown. Connect the SATA and Power cables as shown. Connect the SATA and Power cables as shown.

  13. Insert the server sled into the rack as shown. If the green retention plunger is still in the upright position, twist it 90 degrees to release it. This will secure the server.   14. Press the power button to power-on the server.
